On behalf of ALL the students of Spartanburg Presbyterian Student Association, who plan and actively lead, I would like to welcome you to what promises to be a big year both in your lives and in the life of the PSA. One of the main purposes of this organization is to provide for you a sense of home and comfort away from the comfort of your home. We are a group of students from many different backgrounds who have come together with the purpose of continuing to nurture our faith in an environment that encourages individual growth as well as friendship. But don’t get me wrong, we like to have fun while we’re doing it. PSA does many things such as: picnics, movies, cookouts, community service, and whatever else you can suggest. The wonderful thing about it, however, is that in all things, we are able to live and learn through Jesus Christ.
The life that you live in college has the potential to be very different from the life you lived at home.Nobody will tell you whether or not one is better than the other, for it is up to you to decide what is best; we only hope that PSA will be part of that decision. You will be busy no matter what you do, but it will be much easier to think of PSA as something meant to alleviate stress rather than something that might add to it. We’ll be here for you both as peers and as friends whether you need it or not. PSA is great and we hope you’ll come be a part of it.
